Become a First Responder for Your Community’s Mental Health

It’s a fact. 1 in 4 people have struggled with a mental health issue,
Including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, and
more. That means that it is likely you are someone that you care deeply about has been impacted. The warning signs are there. Do you know what to look for?

Take a Free Mental Health First Aid Course with on-sight ASL interpretation and find out what to look for: Saturday, November 7th: 8:00am-4:30pm. Bagels & coffee provided for breakfast and sandwiches provided for lunch

You will become a Mental Health First Aider, and join the thousands of Coloradans who are already part of the movement to learn more about challenges we all face in mental health. By becoming Mental Health First Aid Certified, you’ll learn the signs of mental health challenges, how to act, and how to connect those in crisis with support systems.

Mental Health First Aid Colorado is a statewide, public education program committed to empowering individuals to identify, understand and respond to those in mental health and substance abuse crises. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a groundbreaking, internationally recognized training program.

Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s 2015 Mental Health First Aid courses are made possible by a grant from Community First Foundation. These courses are free to community members and offered as paid training for staff members. Saturday, November 7th's training will include a mix of both people who are hearing and deaf with 2 ASL interpreters.
