Interpreter Qualification Survey - Colorado
Attention Colorado ASL/English Interpreters and Deaf Consumers!
I am a Sociology student at UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs), and I am currently working on my capstone project.
This project aims to learn more about interpreter qualification in Colorado and the effects that it has on the Deaf community. The responses gathered have the potential to impact requirements for interpreters and the quality of interpreting services for the Deaf community.
If you are over the age of 18, an interpreter, and/or a Deaf or Hard of Hearing individual who uses interpreting services, I would greatly appreciate you taking this survey. There is one for interpreters and one for consumers of interpreting services (if you are a Deaf interpreter, you may fit into both categories, and can take both surveys).
The links for the surveys are below. The surveys will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
Please pass this information along to anyone who fits the qualifications in Colorado. The more data I get, the better the results will be.
If you have any questions, I can be reached at kmajor@uccs.edu.
If you are interested in a face-to-face interview to talk about your experiences, please contact me at the same email address. Interviews will take approximately one-half to one hour.
Thank you so much for your time and participation!
