Interpreter Workshop
Breathe and Be Well: Anxiety Management for Interpreters
Presented in English by DeeLayne Roark
Do you ever feel overwhelmed, stressed out, or anxious while interpreting? How about when preparing for and taking a certification test? You are not alone. In this workshop, we will explore and address the various causes of interpreting-related anxiety, and provide tools for dealing with them. We will also test-drive methods for exorcising what haunts you, and help you get on the road to calm, collected, and cool, even in the hot seat!
In this workshop we will:
Identify their specific sources of anxiety
Learn new tools with which to address their anxiety
Participate in activities applying these new approaches to anxiety management.
Cost: Free (1 hour lunch will be on your own)
